On a certain chilly cold Monday morning in the month of December 2015, a day filled with the harmattan haze.                        While people were getting on with their day's job and trying to earn their pay, At Thomson Reuters, we decided not to conform to that rule.

I am in the business of telling stories to the world. I love my continent Africa and who best will tell its story better than those of it? Well, part of my job requires that I rove and search for news. News is generally defined as stories that are timely in nature, involving prominent people or a mass number of people, sometimes conflict, sometimes new, sometimes strange, and sometimes bad (they say it sells the most). Basically what people want to know, should know and need to know.

After a long wait of 6 months, Nigeria's President Mohammadu Buhari swore in his ministers and named the designated portfolio of his ministers earlier today. He appointed 25 official ministers and 11 State Ministers.

Hmmmmmm, plenty things are happening in this world of ours.  I know its impolite to eavesdrop on people's conversation however, some gists are too sweet to be ignored.  When was the last time you took a public mode of transport while moving around Lagos. I know the hustle is real and everyone is on a struggle to get a four wheeled drive but sometimes, the best experiences come from little things of life like the  humorous  conversations between a passenger and bus driver/conductor. I had my dose yesterday and I'll like to share the gist.

My first encounter with the alias 'Pinktober' was last year while I was working as a field reporter for a foreign media company at one of its base in Lagos, Nigeria. I was assigned to cover the annual Genevieve pink ball and write a script for broadcast about it. 

If there’s anything the social media has taught me, It is that most people especially millenials don’t know how to conduct themselves in public. You should understand that bad behaviour is only accepted when you are in your teens but as you grow out of your teen years and hit 20 somethings, you are expected to take responsibility for all your actions. It is almost imperative that you must begin to learn how to be confident, exude grace and self esteem.  I’ll like to share some life tips that will definitely help you boost your confidence level, improve your self esteem and relationships, and could possibly lead to more leadership positions.

A 34-year-old factory worker, Mohammed Ahmed, on Wednesday said he raped his daughter six times. Ahmed, who was paraded by officials of the Osun State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps said he started having sex with his 14-year-old daughter ( name withheld) in April, 2015.

Police has arrested a 26 year old man for defiling a 1 year and 6 months old baby in Edo state Nigeria. R eports say Daniel, who lived in the same compound with the baby and her mother, lured the baby into his room, turned up the volume of the music in his room to reduce the her cries. He then proceeded to sexually assault the girl. After he let the girl go, her mother, a petty trader was selling outside the compound, noticed her child crying while trying to pass urine. When the mother noticed blood around her child's private part, she called the police & Daniel was arrested after which he confessed. Download the video as he confesses.

Google has unveiled a new logo that is mobile compatible. This change was made because it realised many of its users now reach google on mobile rather than just desktop computers.

Simon Ateba a Lagos-based journalist and a graduate of The Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos was seized and arrested by Cameroonian government. He was accused of spying for Boko Haram. Reports say 10 gigabytes of data stolen by hackers of Ashley Madison site may have been released. The data was stolen last month by hackers with the name Impact Team. They threatened to reveal the data unless the match making site for married people was taken down. According to reports, the hackers managed to steal the real names and addresses of the site's users, including those who had previously paid to delete their accounts.

  The US Food and Drug Administration has approved a libido-enhancing drug for women dubbed the "female Viagra" or "Pink Viagra". Flibanserin, a drug produced by Sprout Pharmaceuticals and marketed as Addyi, recently passed an FDA advisory committee meeting. Lately I find myself listening to different genres of music. From rock, pop, country, jazz and and and. So I was scrolling through the Internet like I love to and I stumbled on a picture of a recently married governor with his foreign wife. I zoomed in closer to get a good view of the lady and my conclusion was, “this girl no fine, abeg, She's just yellow. I fine pass am”

The visual quality might be a bit poor but its audio is quite clear. Esther's face was not shown in the video, just the girl she was initiating. According to the man that posted the video on Facebook, he confirmed the voice of the woman speaking behind the camera belongs to Esther.

I found this while one of my  favorite  magazines, Cosmopolitan Magazine. Quite interesting stuff so I thought I should share. There is love in sharing, right? The popular women magazine that focuses on beauty, relationships, dating and sex advice, and fashion suggested the tips below as what all 20somethings must do. Interestingly, some of them I have done while others I am guilty of. So I hope reading this will help just as it has helped me focus on my self development. The good thing is they are absolutely realistic. If you are above 20, its not too late to still try. it is certainly better than not making an effort at all.
