Hot Tea: Pope Francis Oks Catholic Priests Forgiveness of Abortion

As part of moves to make The Church more open and inclusive, Pope Francis has granted all Catholic Priests the right to forgive women who have had abortion(s). He will give the priests the discretion during the Roman Catholic Church's upcoming Holy Year.

His decision was revealed in a letter published by the Vatican. There, Pope Francis described the 'existential and moral ideal' faced by women who have terminated pregnancies.

He said priests should use words of genuine welcome but ensure those involved were aware of the gravity of the sin committed.

In the Catholic Church, abortion is a grave sin that those who perform it incur an automatic excommunication. It can only be forgiven by the chief confessor i.e Archbishop of the diocese.

#DoubleHustle - Banking meets Hair Fashion

It seems like everyone in Nigeria is an entrepreneur these days. Maybe it is an attempt to break even in the current economy reality we are experiencing, or perhaps an effort to change the stereotypical impression that only white collar jobs are the best.
