Hi! It's been 4 years since I published any of my musings and a whole lot has happened since then.  I have so much to share, and I cannot wait. My next 4 posts will be dedicated to journaling a few exciting experiences over these last 4 years and how it has led me to who I am in this current phase of my life.  I hope you can join me as I recount how life has happened thus far.  Stay glued.

It seems like everyone in Nigeria is an entrepreneur these days. Could it be some sort of trend that will phase out after a while, the liberating and elevating feeling it gives to be addressed as a business owner and an employer of labour? Maybe it is an attempt to break even in the current economy reality we are experiencing, or perhaps an effort to change the stereotypical impression that only white collar jobs are the best.

Growing up, I knew mathematics to be a science that involves expressions that requires you to calculate for the resultant or final answer. However, as I advanced in class, my teachers began to introduce me to mathematical expressions that already have the final answers staring at me in the face – with an unknown factor in the expression. This unknown must be figured out, without which the final answer would make no sense. Shun the mathematical expression above because it is not logical. But assuming that the equation above is mathematically correct, the final answer won’t make sense if you don’t have an idea on how to figure out the value of X. Adversity births all things creative and so is using plastic bottles to make houses.  The  Developmental Association for Renewable Energies (DARE) in Yelwa community of Kaduna state, Nigeria has found a creative way to address issues of homelessness and environmental pollution.

"Gosh, I finally made it to Makoko floating school. A story I have been longing to do in a while after having done the initial story years ago when the school was being built. After weeks of planning and communicating with the school's director with the help of NLE, here I was walking down narrow paths to get to the jetty.

One rarely sits when your job requires you to rove all and around your world to tell stories about it. I recently visited Ajegunle, a community in the sprawling city of Lagos, Nigeria. In this small community lies an estate of wooden, polythene and zinc roofed shacks built on refuse of about 16 feet deep.

On a certain chilly cold Monday morning in the month of December 2015, a day filled with the harmattan haze.                        While people were getting on with their day's job and trying to earn their pay, At Thomson Reuters, we decided not to conform to that rule.

I am in the business of telling stories to the world. I love my continent Africa and who best will tell its story better than those of it? Well, part of my job requires that I rove and search for news. News is generally defined as stories that are timely in nature, involving prominent people or a mass number of people, sometimes conflict, sometimes new, sometimes strange, and sometimes bad (they say it sells the most). Basically what people want to know, should know and need to know.

After a long wait of 6 months, Nigeria's President Mohammadu Buhari swore in his ministers and named the designated portfolio of his ministers earlier today. He appointed 25 official ministers and 11 State Ministers.

Hmmmmmm, plenty things are happening in this world of ours.  I know its impolite to eavesdrop on people's conversation however, some gists are too sweet to be ignored.  When was the last time you took a public mode of transport while moving around Lagos. I know the hustle is real and everyone is on a struggle to get a four wheeled drive but sometimes, the best experiences come from little things of life like the  humorous  conversations between a passenger and bus driver/conductor. I had my dose yesterday and I'll like to share the gist.

My first encounter with the alias 'Pinktober' was last year while I was working as a field reporter for a foreign media company at one of its base in Lagos, Nigeria. I was assigned to cover the annual Genevieve pink ball and write a script for broadcast about it. 

If there’s anything the social media has taught me, It is that most people especially millenials don’t know how to conduct themselves in public. You should understand that bad behaviour is only accepted when you are in your teens but as you grow out of your teen years and hit 20 somethings, you are expected to take responsibility for all your actions. It is almost imperative that you must begin to learn how to be confident, exude grace and self esteem.  I’ll like to share some life tips that will definitely help you boost your confidence level, improve your self esteem and relationships, and could possibly lead to more leadership positions.
