My Padi's Babe

It’s a bit rare to find a girl writing about what the everyday man experiences but truthfully I have more male friends than girls (I wonder why though) but I feel comfortable in their midst.     Recently I got to find out that snatching a friend’s partner is as common among the males as it is among females. It usually comes in this trend. You have a friend and one fine day, he meets the girl of his dreams and falls in love. A few weeks later, he introduces you to her. You’re happy for him but you’re totally falling in love with his girlfriend.   Ever been there? … Almost all guys have… On one hand, you’re happy for your friend. He did find a great catch and they just feel perfect for each other. But yet again, you’re jealous. His girlfriend is the sexiest thing you’ve ever seen and you can’t stop fantasizing about her, or wishing she could be with you instead of your friend. When you’re a guy, it’s easy to instantly get attracted to a girl you meet, even if she’s your

OLUCHI by Solidstar ft Flavour

http://www.tooxclusive.com/2013/11/28/videosolid-star-oluchi-f-flavour/          Joshua Iniyezo is a Nigerian dancehall artiste, producer and songwriter. He released his first hit single featuring Tuface - One in a Million in 2010 which I believe introduced him officially to the Nigerian Music industry.         SolidStar as he's popularly called is known for releasing top notch videos and promoting the Nigerian language. With 3 major music videos such Omotena, Skibo and most recently Oluchi in his kitty, Solidstar has been able to prove his versatility and creativity. He is certainly not a one hit wonder.        This multiple award winner is presently signed to Achievas Entertainment. He always brings to the table a distinctive blend of reggae, R&B and traditional African music, a factor that sets him apart.  Oluchi which was released some hours ago is yet again something 'Fresh' from the 'omotena' crooner. I watched it and I must confess, it is

UKWU by Timaya

Timaya, a Nigerian from Bayelsa state is an award winning artiste that makes effort to send a clear message through his music, most times in unique ways. Whatever theme it is about, he makes sure his viewers are not lost or battling with their head to relate the content, and message of the video to the message of the song itself. Although lately I must admit he now displays a lot of 'x-rated content' in his videos which restricts it from being viewed on Nigerian local television stations due to the strict National Broadcast Commission rules and regulations governing them.  He is not the only one though, many recent videos have been restricted as well. Who is really to blame for such trend, the artistes or the present generation?   I watched the Ukwu after so much hype from friends especially the male folk. This video owned by Dem Mama Records boss  himself Timaya, was recently released. It was directed by Mr Moe Musa. Ukwu means waist.       The video kick star

WHEN TO DRAW THE LINE

Hiiiiiii Guys. Hope everyone is doing great. I’m sorry for abandoning the blog for so long AGAIN. I really try to do better but it’s not that easy………thanks for the mails and comments. I decided to blog this week by all means and I’m glad to be back.     Everyone has this friend of the opposite sex who really understands you. The two of you can talk about anything, and you do. ‘We’re just friends’ you tell yourself but your boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse might think otherwise if he or she were privy to your lingering conversations.    There’s a saying that goes ‘there’s no smoke without fire’. Sometimes or most times this sudden ‘close for comfort’ friendship begins from the desire for: Fulfillment :   Simply put, attention from the opposite sex feels good. It flatters us to know that we are valued, and it makes us feel attractive. After dating or being married for a time, you might begin to find reassurance in the company of a friend of the opposite sex. Havi

AWAITING OUR OWN MAX - LESSON FROM 'ELYSIUM'

By Bamidele Salako If you’re yet to see Elysium, one of the rave-making blockbuster movies of this summer, then I advise you grab a copy now or get to the nearest cinema ASAP (it’s still showing in theatres) where you can be accorded the ultimate movie viewing experience – if you can afford it lol. Don’t get me wrong o! This is not a paid advertisement or promo for the movie or for film houses; Elysium is simply a must-watch, not just for movie aficionados but for all Nigerians who are burdened by the seemingly never changing state of affairs in our dear country – our intractable unpleasant collective existence which has unwittingly produced the popular enduring mantra – “E go better.”     Except on very special occasions, I am not one to go to the movies for the sheer pleasure of it. It’s not in my culture. My best moments are the ones I spend alone reading good books or surfing the internet for an eclectic array of great opinion pieces, news features, articles and c

Trend alert - BOX BRAIDS

If there's one haistyle that wont be leaving us anytime soon, its the BOX BRAIDS. Many fashion icons have  rocked it and some are yet to. The likes of the Knowles sisters, Solange   Beyonce   Janet Jackson Brandy  Just recently, Keri Hilson just joined the league and is totally owning the look like she was born for it. Its very obvious she's loving the box braids as she pretty girl rocked her way into the premiere of her new film, 'Riddick' starring Vin Diesel. She looked really stunning in the black body-hugging dress and black shoes she donned.  and finally me, when I caught the BOX BRAIDS fever.

WIFE ME!

WhoopWhoop! I'm so excited I'm back. What a sabbatical that was. Promise never to leave without notice again. I stumbled on this few days ago and I thought I'd share it. Its a piece written by Relationship expert, Steve James Dixon as he gives 10 'realistic' ways to move from girlfriend to wife. Be a Woman All Day, Everywhere Have respect, pride and dignity for yourself. If you let your friends take advantage of you, so will your man. If you come home crying about your job every day without being proactive about getting a new one, your man is not going to find that attractive. Be sexy, sweet, sassy, feminine and most of all, be womanly. Be Independent Not just financially, but be an independent thinker overall. Take the time to learn you and what works best for you instead of taking someone else’s advice and forcing yourself into a box. Your core person should not change simply because you are in a relationship. Be independent of

One of the most talked about issue all over various Nigerian social media platform that pricked me is the just concluded Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant organized by the Silverbird group. It was held in Bayelsa state on the 20th of July, 2013.                            This prestigious pageant is the first ever to produce an African Miss world from Nigeria, Agbani Darego. Certainly I expect nothing but topnotch production and professionalism in
