So while I was trying to mind my business, I stumbled on this. I hear it is the most delicious bug in Nigeria. It is also a major delicacy for those that live in the Eastern part of Nigeria and South South as well.  Its the Palm Weevil Larvae and Pupae (Rhynochophorus Ferrugineus) The  Palm Tree Weevil Larvae (raw) Roasted Palm Weevil Larvae They are either eaten raw, fried or roasted. Its high protein content makes it very nutritious.   Palm Weevil Pupae The palm weevil is a priced delicacy in southern part of Nigeria. Very common in warri and sapele.  Some call it ' DUN '. I had this friend from Benue State while i was still in presentation school. she gave me a different definition of love,  the display of love she and her boyfriend showed would have made Romeo and Juliet jealous if they were alive.
